BARK PORTRAIT - MELALUECA MACGREGOR

This commission was created for a couple who were selling the family home and downsizing. They wanted to take with them the memories of a special tree on their property - a Melalueca, or paperbark tree. I was sent some samples of bark, chose the one I felt would create the most interesting work and created this piece. The work now hangs in the couple’s new home, holding memories of their previous home.
